Sports & Playgrass and HomeGrass join forces within one organization: The Grass Collective

After years of intensive collaboration, Sports & Playgrass and HomeGrass are taking another important step. As of January 2026, the two companies, both strongly represented in the artificial grass industry, will officially continue under one joint private limited company: The Grass Collective.

The merger marks a new phase for the organizations, which have been closely linked for many years. With the complete takeover of HomeGrass and the relocation of the company to Geffen, where it will be located directly opposite Sports & Playgrass, a strong, integrated organization will be created with everything in the field of artificial grass under one roof.

“In practice, little will change for our customers,” says Mark Verhagen, co-owner of Sports & Playgrass and HomeGrass. “Our trade names and services will remain as people are used to. What will change is that we will work even more efficiently behind the scenes. As a result, we will be able to serve our customers even better in the future – with one strong commercial team, a larger stock and shorter lines.”

Tobi Pennings, co-owner, also sees great advantages in the bundling:

“With The Grass Collective, we are building on the foundation that we have laid over the past ten years. Whether it concerns delivery, installation or advice – we will be able to respond even better to the diverse needs of our customers. Think of wholesale customers who want to use our installation service or technical advice, or project customers who directly benefit from our extensive stock and logistical strength.”

The names Sports & Playgrass and HomeGrass will remain active as brands within the market. The Grass Collective functions as an umbrella organization that combines the strengths of both labels.

“We see it as a natural next step,” Mark concludes. “We have shared the same vision for years, work with the same people and have the same passion for service and quality. By bringing everything under one roof, we create an even stronger foundation for the future. For our customers, our partners and our team.”

The relocation of HomeGrass to Geffen is scheduled for the Christmas holidays of 2025. From January 5, 2026, both brands, as one new company, will officially operate from the location at Het Geffens Veld.
