People often think that you can always use the same approach when installing artificial grass, but this is not the case at all. Each product has a different method. Here you can read step by step how to work with our different products.    <\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sports  games, the name says it all. This artificial grass is mainly used for sports fields and playgrounds. Think of hockey fields, panna fields, fitness centers, but also for playgrounds under climbing frames. Artificial grass has become an integral part of the sports world. However, installing sports  games artificial grass requires a bit more experience than installing landscape or trendy grass. Sports fields often use different colors, line markings, and safety plates under the artificial grass. We explain step by step how the installation works.      <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> For sports fields or playgrounds, safety plates are often installed under the artificial grass. This is used for fall protection. During installation, you often start by laying these plates. In most cases, they are puzzle pieces. Make sure these puzzle pieces fit together well. Then cover the entire surface with the plates. When laying these plates, you should be careful not to walk too much on the substructure. This can cause dips in the substructure. If you&#8217;re not working with safety plates, always make sure to use pressure-distributing fabric.        <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 2: <\/strong>It&#8217;s often handy to cut the roll to size in advance. This prevents you from having to bring a very large roll into the garden. For example, if you have a roll of 16&#215;4 and you need 2 pieces of 8&#215;4, cut it to size in advance. This saves a lot of weight and lugging work.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Roll out the artificial grass in the area and make sure you have 5 centimeters of slack on all sides. You can use this later to carefully cut the artificial grass into the area. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> If you&#8217;re working with multiple pieces of artificial grass, you need to create a nice seam. First, it&#8217;s essential to cut the size \u201cclean\u201d. You cut off the flap that runs next to the pool line on the underside of the mat. You do this on both mats. Then you pull the mats towards each other. The space between the pool lines on the underside of the mat should be about the same as the space between the mats you&#8217;re pulling together. You can always use this as a rule of thumb. Carefully close the seam by letting the fibers of the grass fall into each other simultaneously. Check if your seam is nice before you start gluing or cutting out the line markings.        <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> Carefully cut the artificial grass into the area. It&#8217;s best to cut the mat from the underside. If you don&#8217;t do this, it&#8217;s possible that you&#8217;ll cut the fibers of the mat, making it look like a chunk has been taken out of your artificial grass.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 6: <\/strong>If you&#8217;re making a sports field where line markings need to be incorporated, make sure you have the seams in place and put weight on all mats. This way, you&#8217;re sure it can&#8217;t shift.<br\/>First, you set out the size of the line marking with nails. You place these at the dimension of the line marking + the length of rope to the blades from your push plate that you use for cutting out the line marking.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 7:<\/strong> Cut the line marking to the width you need. Make sure both sides of the line marking are clean. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 8: <\/strong>Carefully cut along the rope with your push plate. The goal is to maintain the same straight line as the rope you have laid out. By cutting with a double blade, you can cut a nice strip from the mat at the width needed for the lining. It&#8217;s important to ensure that the strip you remove is always about 2 millimeters larger than the line you will subsequently place in it, otherwise it won&#8217;t fit. After cutting out the lining, measure everything again. If you have made a mistake, it can still be properly corrected at this point. Once everything is glued, it becomes very difficult to do this neatly.      <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 9:<\/strong> Prepare all materials to glue the artificial grass together.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 10:<\/strong> Open up the created seams and pieces of lining on one side so that you can place the adhesive tape underneath.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 11:<\/strong> Pull out the adhesive tape and ensure it has the same length as the seam or lining you are going to glue. Make sure there is enough glue on your adhesive tape, using a glue board + glue tray. It&#8217;s very important not to apply too much glue, as this can cause glue to come through the seam, or the fibers may get stuck under the glue. The adhesive tape must always lie flat. Check carefully to ensure there are no folds on the adhesive tape.    <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 12: <\/strong>Close the seam neatly and carefully. The best way to do this is to lift both mats slightly and let the fibers fall into each other simultaneously.  Do this bit by bit and take your time. Be careful that the fibers don&#8217;t get into the glue. The glue is very difficult to remove, so you will continue to see it very clearly afterwards.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 13:<\/strong> Ensure that the lining is cut to the correct length. First, place one side of the lining in. Then you can easily place the other side as well. Things to pay attention to when placing the lining are: there are no folds on the line, no fibers are in the glue, the line is always laid in the same fiber direction as the grass, and the fibers of the line and the other grass should always fall neatly into each other.   <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 14: <\/strong>Walk along the seams and the lining with both feet to ensure they are properly set. This presses the bottom of the mat extra well into the adhesive. This ensures that the adhesive will bond properly.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 15: <\/strong>You will distribute the quartz sand over the artificial grass surface. Make sure there is enough sand everywhere. We recommend using a sanding cart to optimize the sand distribution. It can also be done by hand.    When sanding, it&#8217;s important that the grass is as dry as possible. Wet artificial grass is very difficult to sand<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Step 16:<\/strong> Brush the sand well into the mat. If you use a brushing machine, you can perfectly distribute the sand and brush it well into the bottom of the mat. It can also be done with a stiff broom, however, it is difficult to get the sand into the mat properly this way.<br\/>Don&#8217;t brush too vigorously over the lining.
